Stipend, tuition, & insurance
All students who enter the IBiS program receive full tuition support and a stipend as long as they maintain good academic standing. The IBiS program awards funding in the form of fellowships and assistantships. The stipend for the academic year 2011-12 is $27,500 which will be paid out over a twelve-month period.

Health Insurance
The Graduate School subsidizes the health insurance premium for the student plan offered by Northwestern University. For information on the current health insurance plan, please refer to the Office of Risk Management.
Dental plan premiums offered through Aetna Student Health or Sherman Dental Associates will be reimbursed by the IBiS program or student's PI. Insurance through a private provider, private health/dental providers, including those through parents and spouses or partners, are not covered by TGS or IBiS. Proof of insurance coverage (NU or private insurance coverage) will need to be produced for registration purposes.
