Stipend, tuition, & insurance
All students who enter the IBiS program receive full tuition support and a stipend as long as they maintain good academic standing. The IBiS program awards funding in the form of fellowships and assistantships. The stipend for the academic year 2012-13 is $28,000 which will be paid out over a twelve-month period.
FAFSA
All current students should file the FAFSA yearly.
Health Insurance
The Graduate School subsidizes the health insurance premium for the student plan offered by Northwestern University in full. For information on the current health insurance plan, please refer to the Office of Risk Management. IBiS graduate students may also be reimbursed for dental plans offered through Cigna. See Garnett-Powers & Assoc. for details.
Insurance plans through a private provider, including those through parents and domestic partners, are not covered by TGS or IBiS. Proof of insurance coverage (NU or private insurance coverage) will need to be produced for registration purposes.
